"Gaby Gringa" is a TV series following the first international tour of Brazilian superstar Gaby Amarantos while she prepares for a major concert at New York's Central Park SummerStage. Known as the "queen of tecnobrega," an electronic music style from the Amazon region, Gaby is currently Brazil's most unique female star and a bonafide ambassador for her state's culture. Influenced by her local roots and the culture of Jurunas (a poor neighborhood in the outskirts of Bélem, in the north of Brazil), she is at the epicenter of a vibrant music scene that created its own self-sustainable industry.
